My Wife Marcella and I live in Wallaceburg, Ontario Canada, home of the annual Wambo event. I was born in Kortrijk, West Flanders, Belgium, a city on the banks of the river Leie. I worked for Libbey Canada Inc. a glass manufacturer, until they closed the Wallaceburg plant and moved the jobs to Mexico in 1999. I was Co-chair of the Joint Health & Safety Committee and a Health & Safety Instructor for the Workers Health and Safety Center. I was a member and officer of Local 235G of the Glass Division of the United Steelworkers of America. I am now retired watching Hockey in the winter and Lacrosse and stock car races in the summer and fishing at moon river cottages.
